Instead of your surname, we will ask for your name or nickname and a working email address when you register. Following transaction registration, your payment will be processed by PayPal or Stripe, and all data will be handled in accordance with their privacy policies.
We are not associated in any kind with PayPal or Stripe, nor do we have access to your PayPal or Stripe information.
Your IP address, Ausplates.com cookie information, software and hardware characteristics, and the page you request are among the data that Ausplates.com automatically gets and logs from your browser.
The following are the general uses of the information: to gather your email address for communication between you and the buyer only; we do not have access to your communications.

This is a warning: if you give your plates to the new owner and they are not transferred, you are fully liable for any fines they may have incurred, any damage they may have caused while using them, and anything else they may have done with your plates on their car.

When you sign up for a membership, you acknowledge that Ausplates will not be held responsible for any stolen plates or fraudulent information provided by a seller or buyer. Our website is designed to assist you in selling and purchasing plates, and you agree to indemnify us for any legal actions.
Verifying resale eligibility before listing and promptly providing the new buyer with the plate details are the seller’s responsibilities.

Since Ausplates only charges a cost for listing number plates and does not charge a commission or other recurring fees, the website serves as a platform for all users to sell and buy number plates amongst themselves.
For their safety, security, and peace of mind, it is the seller’s responsibility to haggle over the number plates’ price and meet to exchange ownership information, ideally at a VicRoads location.
Since they are not allowed to display any plates after ownership has been transferred, sellers must indicate in their account when the plates are sold by checking the sold button.
Ausplates will issue a warning and/or a ban if you do not indicate that the plates are SOLD within 12 hours of giving them to the new owner. According to our no-refund policy, we will not reimburse any money for the deleted plates until you have designated them as SOLD. We may also stop and/or remove any listings from your account.
There will be no monitoring of any conversations or negotiations between the buyer and vendor.
For listing your license plates on our website, AusPlates.com has a no-refund policy. We do not refund any of our listing costs. However, we will quickly fix any listings that are not displaying correctly. Our highly skilled specialist keeps a careful eye on the location.
Within 24 hours of the purchase, any payment errors or duplicate payments may qualify for a complete refund. Just get in touch with us.
